What are some goals or plans you have for VSA this year?
I’d like to extend PSU VSA beyond our institution to include the rest of the Vietnamese community of the greater Portland metro area. I would also like to diversify our student group to include non-traditional Vietnamese-American students and members from other ethnicity and background. My goal this year is to remodel not only the VSA office, but to renovate our organization as a whole to become bigger, stronger, and a more efficient organization.

What changes would you like to see happen this year and for the future of PSU VSA?
I would like to see VSA grow into a more well-structured organization with members participating at our general meetings to supply us with inputs on how to better facilitate our organization. I would also like to see VSA take the SALP award this year for Best Student Organization and Best Website! Go big or go home right?!

Tell us the most exciting / bizarre / crazy thing you have done in one sentence or less.
Got attacked with firecracker by guys in Devil’s suit at the “Corre de foc” festival (Run of the Fire) in Girona, Spain.

If you could live in any time period of Earth’s history, what time period(s) would you choose (or avoid) and why?
The ‘50s. The big silver screen, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Roswell, the beginning of a new era after WWII, the happy golden days, the radio, everything classic came from the 50’s. I want to be classy like the ‘50s.
